Leica Summilux-R 50mm f/1.4 (v2, E55)

This is the 7-element, 6-group Mandler-era Summilux in its later barrel with E55 thread and built-in hood; the earlier barrel took Series VII filters and the 1998 E60 lens is a different 8-element design. At f/1.4 it has visible glow and lower contrast, tightening up quickly by f/2.8. It is the usual fast normal in vintage R sets because the E60 version costs several times more and looks more modern.
