The second Elmarit is a 4-element, 4-group design with built-in hood and E55 thread, smaller and lighter than the 1964 original. It is sharp and even from wide open and has less of the glow that defines the Summicron and Summilux teles. It is an inexpensive, reliable short tele for an R set.
