The fastest lens made for the 645 system and the reason many filmmakers buy into the mount: a 7-element/6-group normal that gives very shallow depth of field on large sensors. Wide open it has a veiling glow and lower contrast that cleans up by f/2.8; bokeh is soft with some outlining. The C and N versions share the same optics and published specs.

What it goes on

On a Kipon Baveyes 0.7x reducer it works out to about 56mm f/1.3 on full frame, which is the classic 'medium-format look' recipe; Kipon also makes 0.8x LPL and GFX reducers and has shown this lens on them. Glassless 63.3mm-flange adapters cover EF, PL-style and mirrorless; the aperture ring works on dumb adapters and cine rehousings of Mamiya 645 glass are offered by third parties.
