A simple five-element wide that is tiny, cheap and sharp from its maximum aperture. No thorium glass, so no yellowing to deal with. It lacks the glow of the f/2 but matches the family colour and gives gimbal and handheld shooters a 150g wide with the same silky focus throw.

What it goes on

M42's 45.46mm flange means a cheap glassless ring puts it on EF and every mirrorless mount. A/M switch to M for a manually driven iris. The cheapest way into a Takumar set, and light enough that the adapter is a meaningful part of the total weight.
