Fast portrait tele for 6x7, six elements with a ten-blade iris that keeps highlights round through the range. Wide open it is a little soft and low in contrast in a way that flatters faces; by f/4 it is crisp. It pairs naturally with the 105/2.4 and keeps the same 67mm filter thread. Dates and weight here are for the SMC Pentax 6x7 barrel; the later '67' rubber-grip version is the same optic.

What it goes on

84.95mm flange adapts to any mount. At over 800g plus a long adapter it needs a lens support; on a focal reducer it lands near a 115mm f/2 on full frame. Close focus of 1.6m limits tight work without extension.
