The bayonet continuation of the multi-coated Takumar 85/1.8: the same six-element formula and eight-blade iris in the first K-series barrel with a 52mm filter thread. It was only catalogued for a couple of years before the smaller Pentax-M 85/2 took over, so it is rare. The rendering is the draw, soft-edged and rounded at f/1.8 with very even blur.

What it goes on

45.46mm flange; straightforward on mirrorless with a K adapter that holds the aperture lever. On full-frame EF the lever guard can catch the mirror box and is commonly filed back.
