Minolta MD W.Rokkor 28mm f/2 (MD I/II, 55mm)

A 10-element, 9-group fast wide with floating focus, identical optically to the 1975 MC W.Rokkor it replaced; the 1981 plain MD is a smaller 9-element redesign with a 49mm thread. It is one of the better fast 28s of its period, with some softness and glow at f/2 that clears by f/2.8. It is the usual fast wide in Rokkor video sets.

What it goes on

Plain MD adapters fit every mirrorless mount and focal reducers exist for APS-C and MFT. There is no glassless route to Canon EF because of the 43.5 mm flange.
