Minolta MC Rokkor-PG 50mm f/1.4

A 7-element, 5-group normal in the rubber-grip MC-X barrel, 305 g with a 55mm thread. It is a little dreamy at f/1.4, very good from f/2.8, with smooth backgrounds. The MD Rokkor that followed in 1977 kept the 7/5 formula at 245 g and focuses to 0.45 m, while the 1979 49mm version is a new 7/6 design.

What it goes on

The cheapest way into the Rokkor look: a plain MD adapter to any mirrorless mount or an MD focal reducer on APS-C/MFT. There is no glassless adapter to Canon EF.
