Minolta MC W.Rokkor-HH 35mm f/1.8

The original 8-element, 6-group fast 35 in a heavy all-metal barrel (about 420 g, 55mm filter), sold as MC I, MC II and then the rubber-grip MC Rokkor-X. It is soft and glowing at f/1.8 and sharpens steadily when stopped down. The 1978 MD W.Rokkor keeps an 8/6 layout in a much smaller 235 g barrel with a 49mm thread, so check which one you are buying when matching fronts.
