The classic V-system portrait lens in CF form: a simple 5-element/3-group Sonnar with T* coating and a Prontor leaf shutter (1 s to 1/500 plus B and F). It draws with high central sharpness, smooth backgrounds wide open and pentagonal highlights from the 5-blade iris when closed down. Close focus of 1.4 m is limiting, so extension tubes are common; filters are Bay 60 bayonet.

What it goes on

Adapts glassless via the 74.9mm flange to EF, PL-type, LPL, GFX and mirrorless bodies; keep the leaf shutter open with the F setting or an adapter that holds it open. At around 780 g with a long, stiff focus throw it wants lens support on lightweight mirrorless mounts. Bay 60 step-up rings are needed for screw-in filters.
