The floating-element (FLE) revision of the CF 50mm wide angle: 9 elements in 8 groups with a separate ring that sets the floating group for the focus range, improving close-range corners. T* coated, with a Prontor leaf shutter in the barrel and a 5-blade iris that gives pentagonal highlights when stopped down. Slow at f/4 but very even across a huge image circle, which is why it covers Alexa 65, LF, RED VV and GFX without strain. Uses Bay 60 bayonet filters rather than a screw thread.

What it goes on

The 74.9mm V-mount flange adapts glassless to virtually anything (EF, PL-type, LPL, mirrorless, GFX). Set the shutter ring to F so the leaf shutter stays open, or use an adapter that holds it open; remember the FLE ring has to be set for distance range in addition to focusing. Focus is stiff with a long throw, and Bay 60 to 67/77mm step adapters are the usual filter solution.
