Ten elements in ten groups with a constant f/3.4 and a macro position at 35 mm. Has a long-standing reputation for matching the C/Y primes it overlaps. It is a one-ring push-pull design, so zoom and focus share a collar and the zoom can creep when tilted.

What it goes on

C/Y flange is 45.5 mm: glassless adapters exist for EF and every mirrorless mount, and Leitax sells a screw-on replacement EF bayonet that Duclos and others use for cine-mods (80 mm front ring, focus gear, de-clicked iris). Focus turns the same way as cine lenses. Push-pull zoom makes follow-focus gearing awkward.
