Announced in 1982 to replace the 55mm f/1.2, and unusually small for the speed: 285 g with a 49 mm thread. Dreamy with low contrast at f/1.2, a different and much sharper lens by f/2.8.

What it goes on

OM has a 46 mm flange, so it adapts without glass to Canon EF as well as to every mirrorless mount. The aperture ring is at the front of the barrel and the focus ring behind it, the reverse of most stills lenses, which takes some getting used to with a follow focus.
