One of the lenses launched with the OM-1 in 1972 and still one of the smallest 21 mm SLR lenses made, with a 49 mm thread. Early single-coated copies flare more and render warmer than later MC ones.

What it goes on

OM has a 46 mm flange, so it adapts without glass to Canon EF as well as to every mirrorless mount. The aperture ring is at the front of the barrel and the focus ring behind it, the reverse of most stills lenses, which takes some getting used to with a follow focus. Its rear guard petals are suspected of clashing with Speed Booster optics.
