The Tegea 9.8mm is the famous extreme wide-angle of the Kinoptik line (not an Apochromat, but always rented with the set), known for its bulging front element and dramatic distortion-rich perspective. French cine lenses built mainly for Cameflex cameras; the Apochromats use a six-element, four-group double-Gauss layout that keeps the set consistent. Good central sharpness with strong flare and visible light falloff toward the edges. Specs are for the P+S Technik rehousing (104mm front), which the rental house rates as covering Super 35.

What it goes on

Originals are mostly in Cameflex mount (also Arri Standard and C-mount), all of which adapt to mirrorless cameras. For production use they are rehoused in PL by P+S Technik, Whitepoint Optics, GL Optics or Zero Optik, with LPL and EF options from some houses.
